Tropical savanna: warm and humid with dry winter. Temperatures average greater than 18° C (64.4° F) year-round. Annual rainfall varies by season -- more in summer, less in winter -- and generally totals 50 cm (19") to more than 200 cm (59"). Vegetation can vary considerably; some regions may contain broadleaf forests -- deciduous or evergreen -- while others may contain grasses and herbaceous plants, often with patches of deciduous or evergreen broadleaf forest.
