Humid subtropical: mild with hot summer and dry winter. The coldest month averages between freezing and 18° C (64.4° F) and the hottest month averages warmer than 22° C (71.6° F). Annual rainfall varies by season -- wetter in summer, dryer in winter -- and totals at least 50 cm (19"). Vegetation can vary, though it tends toward broadleaf deciduous (terai) or evergreen forests, perhaps with evergreen needleleaf trees mixed in, or grasses and herbaceous plants with patches of similar woods.
