Humid continental: hot summer and severe winter, humid with no dry season. The coldest month averages between freezing and –38° C (–36.4° F) and the hottest month averages above 22° C (71.6° F). Annual rainfall is frequent and steady year-round, totalling 25 cm (10") to 150 cm (59"), though a few regions may total more than 200 cm (79"). Vegetation tends to be mixed broadleaf deciduous and needleleaf evergreen forests, broadleaf deciduous forests, or grasses and herbaceous plants with few trees.
